Terms of Service
The terms on which ByteBloom (bytebloom.in) delivers projects. Last updated 28 October 2026.
These terms describe how ByteBloom works with clients. Every project also has a written quotation or project agreement; where the two differ, the project agreement applies. Nothing here is legal advice, and we recommend reading your project agreement carefully before accepting it.
1. Project scope
Every project starts with a written scope: the deliverables, features, pages or screens, integrations, timeline and price. Work begins only after you accept the quotation. Anything not listed in the scope is outside the project, and website packages carry the scope limitations shown on the Pricing page.
2. Pricing and payment
Website packages have a fixed scope and a starting price; applications and custom software are quoted individually after a requirements review. Quotations are valid for 30 days. Payment milestones:
- Website packages: 50% to start, 50% before the site goes live.
- Applications and custom software: 40% to start, 30% at the agreed mid-project demo, 30% before launch. Larger projects are split into more milestones, each tied to a working demonstration.
- Ongoing engagements: Billed monthly in advance at the agreed hourly, daily or monthly rate.
Invoices are payable within 7 days by bank transfer or UPI. Work on the next milestone starts when the previous invoice is paid. Prices exclude GST where applicable, domain and hosting fees, and third-party subscriptions unless the quotation says otherwise.
3. Changes to agreed requirements
Small clarifications within the agreed scope are part of the project. Requests that add features, pages, integrations or redesign work already approved are change requests: we quote the cost and timeline impact in writing, and start only after you approve. Each design milestone includes two rounds of revisions. Further rounds, or changes to features already agreed, are quoted before the work starts. We do not offer unlimited revisions, so that every project has a clear finish line.
4. Delivery and acceptance
We share progress at agreed intervals and deliver each milestone for your review. You have 7 days after delivery to report anything that does not match the agreed scope; we fix it at no charge. If we hear nothing within 7 days, or you start using the deliverable in your business, the milestone is accepted. Timelines depend on receiving content, feedback and approvals from you promptly; delays on either side move the dates by the same amount.
5. Intellectual property and source code ownership
On full payment, you own the custom source code, designs and content created for your project, and we provide the agreed source code, access details and documentation. Until full payment, ByteBloom retains ownership and may suspend access. Open-source libraries remain under their own licences, and third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) are licensed to you on the terms of their providers. ByteBloom may reuse general techniques, non-client-specific code and know-how, and may describe the project in its portfolio with your permission; your confidential business information is never disclosed.
6. Maintenance and support
Bug fixes for anything within the agreed scope are included for 14 days after launch. After that, support, updates, monitoring and further improvements are provided under an optional Care Plan or a separate quotation, as described on the Pricing page. Issues caused by third-party services, hosting changes you make, or changes by other developers are quoted separately.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Either side may cancel a project in writing. If you cancel, you pay for the work completed up to that date (based on the milestones and the agreed price), and we hand over the completed work; any unused portion of an advance is refunded. If ByteBloom cannot complete a project, we refund any advance for work not delivered. Deposits for consultation-only engagements are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place.
8. Third-party services and hosting
Domains, hosting, payment gateways, email, SMS or WhatsApp APIs, AI services and similar accounts are registered in your name, paid by you at the providers' rates, and governed by the providers' terms. We set them up and configure them as part of the project but are not responsible for their availability, pricing changes or policies. Payment gateway approval depends on the provider's own checks of your business.
9. Your responsibilities
You confirm that the content, images, data and brand assets you provide are yours or properly licensed, and that your use of the software complies with applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure after handover.
10. Liability
We build carefully and test the agreed functionality, but no software is guaranteed to be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, ByteBloom's total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or data loss caused by third-party services.
11. Governing law and contact
